A movie from the 80’s with bat-like creatures?
Does anyone remember a movie, I’m quite sure it’s from the 80’s, because I distinctly remember being very scared by it when I was little =P, I remember it was about some sort of magical quest told with puppets, or muppets… initially I thought the movie was Jim Henson’s “The Dark Crystal”, but nope, I was wrong. Anyway, the movie I’m talking about, is a fantasy film, and the thing I remember the most, is that it had some characters that were bat-like in appearance; they were black, and had huge wings, and when someone approached them, they killed him/her by wrapping their wings around them, and when they opened their wings, the only thing that remained, were the person’s bones, which dropped to the floor as soon as they opened them.
I know it sounds ridiculous, but, it was the 80’s! Haha.
And, trust me, I have been looking for this movie for at least 15 years, and nobody seems to remember!!
Please! Does anyone remember something like this??

The Beastmaster. A combo of 80’s schlock and cheesy fantasy effects that somehow worked out to be a fairly entertaining B movie. Crazy priests, those weird bat things, a hero that could communicate with beasts (hawks, ferrets, and a panther primarily), and a hot slave girl. It is a glorious celebration of fantasy cliches!
