I want to get in the business of Digitizing, Plotting, and Vinyl Cutting… Suggestions?

I would like to start a business selling skateboard self-adhesive vinyl. The vinyl will be clear and will be the actual size of the belly of the skateboard. Here are a few things I need to do and don’t know how:

1. Get the exact shape of the belly of a particular skateboard.
2. Transfer the exact shape to a self-adhesive vinyl.
3. Have a vinyl cutter cut the shape out of the self-adhesive vinyl.

I know what I want to do is generalized; I would like some advice on how to do this. I am thinking of getting a Roland vinyl cutter for #3. Other than that, I am clueless.

Just tried a search for “vinyl cutting” and found some interesting products that might be helpful. One is called a Stika Vinyl Cutter. The Stika vinyl cutter is a “printer” that creates unique signs for windows, doors, vehicles, and more… using lettering and graphics designed on your PC.
